Dr. Anas Alkhatib
Psychiatrist
Dr. Anas Alkhatib is an insightful, attentive psychiatrist treating patients in Atlanta and the greater Georgia area. He comes with great expertise in child, adolescent and adult psychiatry. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. His primary goal as a practitioner is to tailor a treatment plan that relieves your suffering and addresses your needs. Originally from Syria, Dr. Alkhatib completed his medical degree at Damascus University, Faculty of Medicine. He traveled to the United States to attend the University of South Alabama, Mobile, Alabama where he conducted a four-year residency in psychiatry. After that, he completed two-years of sub-specialty in child and adolescent psychiatry at Vanderbilt University where he served as the child chief fellow his senior year and received the leadership recognition award for his achievements. Dr. Alkhatib is a tactful psychiatrist who stays up to date. He attends numerous scientific meetings and seminars. Many patients visiting Dr. Alkhatib report rapid relief of their stress. Dr. Alkhatib assesses children, adolescents, and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, autistic spectrum disorder, and schizophrenia. Dr. Alkhatib helps you to understand your diagnosis, and the treatment needed. He also helps you recognize limiting beliefs and maladaptive coping skills that have been hindering your recovery and causing you emotional stress. Dr. Alkhatib is ECT (Electric Shock Therapy) certified and offers ECT assignment and ECT treatment.
Mark Blocker
Physician Assistant
Mark Blocker is a Physician Associate working in Adult, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He has been practicing Psychiatry since 2018 and enjoys working with a variety of patients. Mark has a particular interest in working with chronic and persistent mental illnesses and a wide range of depressive and anxiety disorders in adolescent and adult patients. Mark also enjoys working to incorporate a more holistic approach to mental health for patients when appropriate. Mark has been interested in working in mental health most of his life, but found great interest in the field of Psychiatry during his training in PA school. Mark welcomes all patients and is eager to be a guide to help you feel your best.
Lauren Scott
Physician Assistant
Lauren is a Physician Assistant who is passionate about mental health and enjoys working with patients of all ages. She strives to create a welcoming and supportive environment where patients feel heard and valued. With a focus on evidence-based care, Lauren aims to help patients achieve their mental health goals in a compassionate, patient-centered way. Lauren earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Georgia and her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Augusta University. She has clinical experience in urgent care and pediatrics. In her free time, Lauren enjoys staying active, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Christopher Hallock
Physician Assistant
Christopher Hallock is a very enthusiastic provider who grew up in a small rural town in upstate New York. After graduating from high school he entered the US Navy where he served and was deployed to numerous areas around the world. He attend the University of New York at Binghamton, where he obtained his bachelors degree in cell and molecular biology. Chris then went to complete his masters at Chatham University’s physician assistant program of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. In his personal life, he enjoys hiking/camping auto mechanics, and spending time with his friends and pets.
Kristin Norman
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Kristin is deeply committed to supporting the emotional well-being of children, adolescents, and adults. She approaches each patient with empathy, patience, and a strong belief in the power of personalized, respectful care.
Kristin is deeply passionate about advancing mental health and holds a strong clinical interest in conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders. She is dedicated to creating a safe, welcoming space where individuals feel seen, heard, and empowered.
She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Cox College and grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, where her interest in mental health first began through her personal and professional experiences.
Thomas Kekeisen-Chen (TJ)
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
TJ is a psychiatric nurse practitioner providing pediatric and adult care. He is passionate about helping clients develop a clear understanding of their values to inform goals of treatment. To sustain positive mental health outcomes, TJ takes a holistic approach in his practice by incorporating elements of psychotherapy into the plan of care.
He is enthusiastic about working with all clients and has a particular interest in providing a judgement-free space for those struggling with personality disorders, substance-use issues, and trauma. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, TJ served in the Peace Corps in Guinea as a math and science teacher before returning to the U.S. to earn his Master’s of Science in Nursing at Marquette University and subsequently his Doctor of Nursing Practice at Rush University.
In his free time, TJ enjoys exploring the outdoors and trying new foods with his wife and daughter.
He is conversational in Spanish and welcomes Spanish-speaking clients and their families.

Jessica Kim
Office manager
Jessica has been with Young Minds Psychiatry since the beginning and has grown with the company through the years. She has gained unparalleled experience in both the administrative and clinical side of Psychiatry and now currently works as the Clinic Manager. Jessica is well known for her personable, hardworking demeanor. Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

Chelsea has worked at Young Minds Psychiatry since 2022 as an assistant manager. Through her education and work experience at Young Minds Psychiatry, she has developed strong communication skills and the ability to convey points to all audiences. Chelsea is very family-oriented and enjoys spending my spare time with her family and close friends.
